Custom Made
Garments
Create your unique uniform range
Kings Apparel offers a complete custom manufacturing program for businesses that require consistent supply, brand alignment, and full control over garment quality and presentation. Whether you need custom fabrics, industry-specific features, or private label branding, we help you build a uniform solution tailored to your organisation.
We work from your garment specifications or assist in developing them, covering fabric weight, composition, colour matching, trims, fit, and construction details. Fabrics can be milled specifically for your program and all garments can be produced under your label.
Minimum order quantities apply to custom manufacturing, with an estimated lead time of 12 weeks for new items and 8 weeks for replenishment orders once approvals are finalised. Both air and sea freight options are available to suit budget and delivery timing.
How it works
Step 1
Initial Discussion
We begin by understanding your requirements. This includes garment styles, industry standards, branding needs, supply volumes, and delivery expectations.
Step 2
Specification Development
Our team prepares detailed spec sheets outlining fabrics, construction details, branding elements, labelling, sizing, finishing techniques, and compliance requirements.
Step 3
Pattern Making and Trim Sourcing
Our manufacturing partners produce garment patterns based on the approved specifications. We also source required trims such as buttons, zippers, care labels, and branding elements to ensure consistency across all production runs.
Step 4
Fabric Milling
Fabrics are milled to match the approved specifications for performance, comfort, durability, and colour consistency. Optional Fabric Testing: Laboratory fabric testing is available if required. Testing covers durability, colour fastness, pilling resistance, shrinkage, and other relevant performance standards. Fees apply.
Step 5
Pre-Production Sample
A fully finished sample is produced so you can assess fit, comfort, appearance, branding placement, and overall quality. This sample must be approved before full manufacturing begins.
Step 6
Bulk Production
Once the pre-production sample is approved, bulk manufacturing begins. All production is overseen with quality checks at each stage to ensure consistency and accuracy.
Step 7
Shipping Sample (Optional)
A shipping sample from the final batch can be provided for final review before dispatch. This ensures confidence in quality once garments are in full production.
Step 8
Freight and Delivery
Your order is shipped via sea or air freight depending on your timelines and budget. Stock can be delivered directly to your warehouse or to our Melbourne fulfilment centre.
Step 9
Warehousing and Ongoing Dispatch (Optional)
We can store your garments and manage ongoing fulfilment based on purchase orders, staff onboarding, or multi-site distribution needs. Fees apply.
Not Sure Where to Start?
Our team can help you select garments based on industry requirements, brand guidelines, comfort, durability, and long-term cost efficiency.
